Arthur Wellington Mestayre UPHILL was baptised 3 Oct 1813, St Giles, Reading, Berkshire. His father is described as //"Soldier 3rd Regt of Foot"// in the register((Coincidentally, the residence given is London Street, where there was also a Baptist chapel.)).

Arthur was given his first two names in honour of Arthur Wellesley ([[wp>Arthur_Wellesley,_1st_Duke_of_Wellington|1st Duke of Wellington]]), although I have yet to find a reason for the name Mestayre.

He was buried, aged 4, 24 May 1818 Spa Fields, St James', Clerkenwell.\\
