Thomas Corbie was landlord of the Richmond Hill Tavern ("Corbie's Tavern", rendezvous site for the conspirators of the [Thomas] **Hickey Plot**, a conspiracy to kill or kidnap George Washington), and did indeed recover the statue head with John Cox.
